I am a Design Leader with people management, program management, UX design and research experience. Over my 15-year career, my work has had broad impact across diverse enterprise software portfolios, platforms, and users. I collaborate with designers, multi-disciplinary stakeholders, and customers across geographies. I am known to be organized, dedicated, thorough, and to pay attention to details. I engage people’s strengths and coach for growth. I do my best to lead with empathy and compassion, and I look up to those who do.
I pursue the long view over short-term gains. I have matured alongside some of the products I’ve worked on. Well before becoming Design Manager and Senior Design Manager for the Data Science portfolio of products, I was a generalist Researcher-Designer on several earlier incarnations of a cloud data platform. As the products evolved over the years, so did my role on the same products. This meant personal and professional growth, stability on the team, and continuity on the projects. And it involved future thinking and systems thinking as well as owning, and sometimes challenging, our past design decisions, always with the users in mind.
Outside of work, I am a mom to two young kids. The values that I strive to instill in them are the same that guide my life and my work — adaptability, compassion, consistency, excellence, gratitude, grit, integrity, and kindness. I believe earnestly in leading by example and in paying it forward. I am an active Cub Scouts Leader to a pack of 90 boys and girls.
Born and raised on the tropical paradise island of Mauritius, I grew up in a huge family and a bakery. Both ingrained in me a strong work ethic very early on. As a teenager, I left for college in the UK. Then I moved to the US for work, and I have lived here ever since. I enjoy making with my hands — baking, crafting, DIY — and outdoor activities, as much as unwinding quietly at home.
